The Cluj Napoca Medical University has turned out to be a favorite destination for the international students. The university was established in year 1919, but then courses were imparted only in Romanian language. In Romania, students do not have to appear for an entrance test for pursuing medical course. However, they have to appear for a test in English medium.     Romania is located in Eastern Europe which is bounded by Hungary, Moldova and Ukrain from the North and Eastern side. Yugoslavia/Serbia and Bulgaria on the west and southern side. It also touches Black-sea in the Southern Part. Hungary is bounded by Austria, Slovakia, Czech and on the Northern side is Belarus and Poland. Bulgaria is surrounded by Romania, Black-Sea, Kosovo and other Mediterranean Countries adjoining Mediterranean sea and across Italy.

    Prior to 1989, when there was dictatorship of Mr. Ceausescu, people of Romania spoke only Romanian, Italian and French only. But after the revolution in the year 1989, English was made an optional language in schools and thereafter, the present generation of Romania speak Romanian, English and French widely.

    There are eight (08) State Medical Universities and one (01) Private Medical University in Romania. All of them, have medicine courses in English, Romanian and French languages since last more than 20 years now. Some of the Universities started English Medium of medical studies in last 10 years.

    Romania is having a temperate climate, in summer (from April to August) the temperature in the most part of Romania remained in the range of 10 degree centigrade to 25 degree centigrade and in winter (from November to February) the temperature ranges from 10 degree centigrade to minus 10 degree centigrade. It is comparatively less colder than Russia, Ukraine, Poland, U.K. and other western European countries. The environment of Romania is very conducive as the pollution level in Romania and other adjoining country such as Bulgaria and Hungary is very low and the whole of the country is rich of flora and fauna.

    The Romanian people are of Balkan region and they have high cultural and traditional value system and most of the population is Christian and they follow their religion religiously. The people of Romania are very soft and of humble nature. They respect other culture and specially they great respect and love for Indian people because they find their life style and value system similar to Indian culture of Hindus. The present generation believes in high respect for elderly and highest care for children and they are the firm believer in the institution of marriage and they have similar moral value towards family and friends.

Romania has number of International Airport almost in every bigger city such as Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Oradea, Iasi and other important city. The air-fare from one city to another is less than 50 Euro depending upon the date of booking as fare are flexible just as it is in India.

    Most of the Indian student preferred to stay in a private apartment because they will have their own separate kitchen and toilet because in hostel there the common kitchen and toilet. Four students can stay in a two bed room apartments and the rent is generally in the range of 200-300 Euro per month depending upon the facility and location of the apartments.

    Romanian people are having very beautiful feature and health-wise they are known to be strong and good because of the regional feature of Romania which is neither very cold nor very hot. Further people of Romania are treated well in other European Countries as they are known to be very hard-working and honest in their Endeavors.

    Generally, outdoor games such as soccer, volleyball, baseball, lawn-tennis, athletics, gymnastics and others games which played in Olympic are played in Romania beside there are number of sports complex to provide such facilities. Further Romania is known for Chess and other indoor games as well. Nadia Camnaci of Romania was the Olympic Gold Medalist in Gymnastic who got 10 out of 10 points, which is a world record till date.

    The Municipal Corporation in every city/villages of Romania is the organization endowed with the tasks for hygiene and cleanliness in Romania and all streets/road/public places are always found neat and clean and there are penalties for littering in public places.
